Stay Healthy As You Age

Wanda Morris is the Vice-President of Advocacy for CARP, a 300,000 member organization that advocates for health and financial security for older Canadians.

She is a CPA with over 3 decades of business experience, a frequent media commentator, and a columnist for Zoomer Magazine and Post Media.

During Wanda’s tenure as Vice-President of Advocacy, CARP has secured $6 billion in federal home care funding, a roll-back of eligibility for OAS from 67 to 65, an extra $1,000 for Canada’s poorest seniors and increased EI benefits for caregivers.

Geoff Cowman is the current Treasurer and Immediate Past President of the Richmond/Delta CARP chapter, where he has been active since 2014.

He has been a business coach and trainer for much of the last 25+ years, a former Dale Carnegie trainer and (waaaay back when!) an Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Government.

Since the chapter’s inception in October 2013, Geoff has helped it grow from about 775 members to just over 1,200 presently. He also helped found and run the Seniors Health And Resources Expo (S.H.A.R.E.) event for the communities of Richmond and Delta, now in its fourth year.
