Whether you have or haven’t jumped on the yoga bandwagon, come give this ancient practice 15 minutes of your day. You will be amazed at how you feel in this short time of guided breath and body movements. Learn to move your body safely and mindfully using poses to get your blood flowing and muscles working. This class will also incorporate a focus on relaxation and stillness.

Wendy Akune began teaching yoga in 2006 and began specializing in teaching people over 55+ in 2008. In her classes, there is an emphasis on creating body awareness, both anatomically and experientially. This means that you will learn the science of your body, but even more importantly, you will learn to feel and trust your body and self.

Wendy works as a nutritionist at B.C. Compassion Club, a non-profit wellness centre. Teaching nutrition has provided her the opportunity to work with international yoga studios in Chile and Nepal. She has gone on to complete Anatomy & Physiology for Bodyworkers through Langara College, Chair Yoga Training and Pain Care Yoga Training.
