Jamie Bussin is the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Tonic, a health and wellness magazine in Toronto. Jamie is also the creator, promoter and host of “THE TONIC” Talk Show and Podcast, a weekly health and
wellness lifestyle talk show on Zoomer Radio which can be heard on Saturdays at 11am on AM 740 and FM 76.7. Jamie is a former commercial litigator with over 19 years experience in court. He’s also been a disc jockey, inventor, screenwriter, magazine columnist and spinning instructor. At the age of 39 Jamie lost 52 lbs through a regimen of diet and exercise. He thought that if a “Type A” personality like him could do it, anybody could. His personal experience and professional background edifies his approach to health and wellness. Philippe Lucas – Tilray

Philippe Lucas PhD(c) is Vice President, Global Patient Research & Access at Tilray, a federally authorized medical cannabis production, research and distribution company based in Nanaimo, BC; Vice-Chair of the Cannabis Canada Council; and a Graduate Researcher with the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research. His scientific research includes the therapeutic use of cannabis in the treatment of mental health conditions and addiction, and he has been invited to provide expert testimony before the Canadian House of Commons, the Canadian Senate, and the BC Supreme Court. Philippe first became involved with medical cannabis as a patient, and founded the Vancouver Island Compassion Society in 1999 to serve the needs of patients who might benefit from the medical use of cannabis. He is extremely involved in the community and served as a Victoria City Councillor and Regional Director from 2008-2011. Philippe has received a number of accolades and awards for his work, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013) for his work and research on medical cannabis, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Cannabis Canada Council (2018).

Dr. Jonathon Simone – Aphria

As Aphria’s Director of Research and Clinical studies, Dr. Jonathan Simone serves as the primary liaison between the Company’s science, technical and medical division teams and outside medical, academic and clinical centres. He is also spearheading Aphria’s participation in various clinical studies. Dr. Simone completed his PhD in Neurobiology and Physiology at Brock University, where he was instrumental in the development of an award-winning, multi-disciplinary cannabinoid research program. Dr. Simone’s research has been recognized by various organizations worldwide, including the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC), the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Canadian
College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CCNP).Dr. Simone has been consistently published in high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific journals and presented at scientific conferences around the world. In July 2018, his research into the role of the endocannabinoid system in social behaviour development was awarded the Scientific Achievement Award at the 28th Annual ICRS Symposium on the Cannabinoids in Leiden, Netherlands.

Dr. Mandeep Singh – Canopy Growth

 alt=Dr. Mandeep Singh is a well-established psychiatrist currently employed at Apollo Applied Research and holds the position of director of wellness programs at “Be Well” health Clinic in Toronto. His extensive and broad experience includes ER/Urgent care and outpatient psychiatric care at Trillium Health Partners as well as working with veterans in Canada and The United States. Dr. Singh is trained in both Psychopharmacology as well as Psychotherapy and has a particular area of interest in ADHD and Sports Psychiatry. Alongside patient care, his educational background includes being a part-time faculty member at the University of Toronto and he holds a Masters in Public Administration and Public Policy from Syracuse University. Additionally, he has been involved in the non-profit Sector and is a founding board member of “SickNotWeak”, a not-for-profit charity aimed to bring awareness and support for mental illness on a national Level.
